ZEN CLOUD. On the western edge of Joshua Tree National Park in the Little San Bernardino Mountains there is an overlook called Keyes View. It's a great view of the Coachella Valley, featuring the Palm Springs area. I set up my 4x5 camera hoping something would happen and waited. These low hanging clouds started moving in my direction. When I looked up I saw this cloud had formed a circle. There was just time for this one shot before the circle was broken and disappeared. The clouds were moving in fast and soon the area was covered in a thick fog. I couldn't see more than a few feet in front of me so it was a little dicey finding the trail back. This photo has not been altered. Only levels, curves and saturation adjustments were made using Adobe Photoshop. This photograph was shot with a 4x5 view camera with 90mm lens on color negative film.
